This last week was a violent one in America. Many big cities had protests that evolved into riots. Miami was no exception, but thanks to our fast acting Miami-Dade County Mayor, only a few protests got out of hand and were dealt with immediately. Most of them were peaceful.

The Freedom Tower is to Miami, what the Statue of Liberty is to NYC.

It is a Miami tradition that protests must take place in front of Miami's most sacred symbol: the Freedom Tower, and keeping with tradition, most of the George Floyd/BLM/De-Fund the Police/Eliminate Prisons, and all of the "Santa's List" protests took place there. As you can observe in the picture above, developers built high rises near the Freedom Tower (yellow building) to provide the residents an excellent view of protests and riots for years to come.

How close you want to be when observing the action depends on your budget. The less you spend, the lower the floor, which would increase the likelihood of tasting the tear gas. Of the condos currently listed on the MLS, these two would provide a direct front row seat for less, at $409 and $361 per square foot.

The more you spend, well, you may need a telescope to observe the ruckus from this $18,800,000 whole floor unit on the 50th floor, just like the Beckham's must have if they had wanted to see the action from their recently purchased 9,200 sq ft penthouse on the 59th floor of the One Thousand Museum. But, if the riots block traffic and disrupt their plans, they can be picked up by their private helicopter to whisk them away to wherever they need to go, as long as their destination has a helipad, too.
